The Effect of Independent Learning on Mathematics Problem Solving in Senior High Schools
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to prove scientifically whether there is an effect of independent learning on the ability to solve mathematics problems in high schools. This research is included in the Associative or Correlational Quantitative research which is ex post facto. The process of collecting data and information using the survey method. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The design of this study uses the correlation test which is used to determine the correlation between variables and y. The sampling technique was random sampling, the sample was taken randomly. The number of samples in this study was 33 students. The research instrument was in the form of 30 items of learning independence questionnaire, and 5 items of mathematical problem ability. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between independent learning on mathematical problem solving abilities.
