A Case Report On Post Covid-19 Positive Status With Mucormycosis With Type-II Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract

Systemic Glucocorticoids Are Being Used To Treat Severe Coronavirus Illness (COVID-19). In Such Patients, Opportunistic Fungal Infection Are A Worry, While COVID-19 Related Pulmonary Aspergillosis Is Becoming More Common, Mucormycosis Is Still Uncommon. Mucormycosis Is A Rare But Dangerous Illness That Can Make Severe COVID-19 Worse. Mucormycosis Is More Likely To Occur In Those Having Diabetes Mellitus And Other Risk Factors. Mucormycosis Is Most Likely Exacerbated By Concurrent Glucocorticoid Medication. Clinical Findings: Pain In Left Side Of Face During 8 To 10 Days,  Swelling In The Left Side Of Face Since 8 To 10 Days, Loss Of Sensation In The Left Side Of Face Since8 To 10 Days ,Left Sided Nasal Discharge(Watery Un Consistency,Non Blood) Since 8 To 10 Days, Watery Discharge From Left Eye Since8 To 10 Days, Blurry Of Vision In Left Eye Since 8 To 10 Days , Pain In Left Side Face , Left Ear, Left Side Of Neck Since 8 To 10 Days. Diagnostic Evaluation: She Is 50years Old Female .All Diagnostic Test Are Done . HRCT Scan Of Thorax, MRI Of Brain, CECT Paranasal Sinuses And Chest X Ray. Therapeutic Intervention: Patient Was Treated With Antibiotics, Antipyretic, Multivitamin, Antacid, Bronchodilator, Beta-Lactamas Inhibitors. Also Given Antifungal Medications, Given Nebulization Of Duolin And Budecort. Outcome : Patient General Condition Was Poor. He Had Mild Infection Of Covid-19 With Mucormycosis .Conclusion: This Situation Indicates The Subsequently Mental Impact At The Affected Person,  As Well As On Career, And Family Isolating From Society And Family Can Create Some Type Of Mental Stress On Person.  After Getting The Proper Treatment On Disease Condition The Patient Health Was Improved.
