Abstract

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the student perception of the use of video tutorials for learning preclinical prosthodontics.

Introduction: The present difficulties with inside the dental schools specifically at the extent of preclinical exposure pave the way for significant learning and smoothness in addition to rapid learning of the students through video tutorials. The development of video tutorials is flourishing and may make it possible to maintain knowledge learned during instruction with simulation.

Materials and Methods: A questionnaire will be prepared and shared with prosthodontics faculty. The resulting data will be analyzed using statistical software. The presence of our researchers in this present study, with different teaching experience and types of expertise, helped in better understanding of the research-related issues from varying perspectives, thus helping in increasing the validity of the study. The study subjects knew the main investigator. Informed consent was taken from the participants.

Results: In the survey conducted among 100 individuals of prosthodontics faculty, Pie chart represents that students are attentive in video tutorial class. 53.92% of the faculty responded that students are attentive in video tutorial class and 46.06% of the faculty responded that students are not attentive in video tutorial class.

Conclusion: The research had proved that difficulties going through by the professor and the pupil in teaching and learning of preclinical prosthodontics and it also includes their necessities for their improvement.
