PREVALENCE OF COULROPHOBIA AMONG UNDERGRADUATE DENTAL STUDENTS - A QUESTIONNAIRE SURVEY

Abstract

Introduction-A fear is a sort of nervousness issue characterized by an exorbitant dread of circumstances. Coulrophobia  affects 33.5% to 6.1% of the global population.The present study aims to evaluate the prevalence of colorphobia among undergraduate dental students.

Materials and Methods-A cross sectional survey based study was conducted among 120 study population.A questionnaire was prepared about the  coulrophobia among students.Data was collected and tabulated in excel and statistics was done in SPSS version 23.

Results-77.2% of the population knew what is Coulrophobia while 22.8% were unaware .One of the good ways of treating coulrophobia  is by confronting it to friends and family.

Conclusion-We can conclude that most of the dental students are aware about  coulrophobia
