Abstract

Talent acquisition is a dynamic process which shapes the perception of employers in the market. There is a market shift in its outlook over a period of time, from work force to human capital to talent, which is a much more comprehensive description of individuals along with attributes they possess. Talent acquisition is quickly becoming a critical facet of the human resource function. The increased competition in the recruitment market has resulted in more time, money and energy being expended by companies on improving their talent acquisition strategies. It is important to hire individuals with the required expertise, credentials and experience in order to achieve business goals, taking into account current and future requirements. Selectors seek to attract only the best applicants who will suit the organization's organizational culture, ethics and climate-specific. The purpose of the paper is to study the current process of Talent Acquisition in the company and identify areas for enhancement. Talent acquisition has evolved over a period of time to become the key reference point for employer pulse. It is now a strategic and competence driven business function unlike in the past when it was restricted to hiring. It is increasingly considered as the core function of an organization. Organizations are using innovative strategies to win the battle for hiring good talents. This research study also tried to examine and review the evolving trends of Talent Acquisition in this changing digital world.
