Abstract

The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus two (SARS-CoV-2) has infected individuals all across the world, causing the 2019 coronavirus illness (COVID-19). Dermatological abnormalities are gradually being recognized as a key clinical indication of COVID-19 by doctors. We detail the clinical presentation, development, duration, accompanying symptoms, therapy, and outcome of COVID-19-related cutaneous manifestations in this review.Physicians should be aware of the known COVID-19-related cutaneous manifestations, and more study is needed to better understand the aetiology and prognosis of each skin manifestation.

CONCLUSION: There is a considerable information gap in many aspects of these symptoms, which are regarded a reflection of distinct pathogenic pathways, with a varying implication of viral infection, inflammatory processes, and vascular and systemic consequences of the disease. As a result, it can't be excluded out that acral lesions, which are usually reported based on epidemiological evidence rather than microbiological studies, aren't directly linked to COVID-19.
