Case Report on Post-COVID-19 Pneumothorax

Abstract

Over the past year, we have found the newly identified coronavirus, which is the cause of Covid-19, an infectious disease. It usually emanates from, when an infected individual coughs or sneezes, saliva droplets or nasal discharge are formed. The majority of those who are infected experience a mild to moderate illness and recover rapidly

Case Presentation: A 43 years old male, referred to the hospital from a hospital where he was hospitalized for 2 months. The patient was COVID-19 positive in September 2020, came negative on 31 December 2020, was on intermittent BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure) since then, and has low saturation. On physical examination, it found that the patient has developed opacites in the lungs as shown in the CT scan and then appropriate treatment, started. After getting treatment, he shows great improvement and the treatment was still going on until last date of nursing care given by student and staff nurse.

Conclusion:  In this study, we mainly focus on expert medical management and excellent nursing care helped in managing the complicated case very nicely. All the patient response was positive for conservative and nursing management and after treatment; the patient was discharge without any further complications and satisfaction with full recovery.
