Abstract

Introduction:

Dental implants is one of the treatments to replace the missing tooth, at present days it has become an integral treatment in modality dentistry, dental implants have a number of advantages over conventional fixed partial denture such as, the dental implants have a higher success rate when compared to conventional methods and have decreased future risks.

Aim:

 To assess the number of dental implant placement surgeries done in a private teaching hospital MATERIALS AND METHOD:

Information about the number of implant procedures done during different periods of time were  collected and results were evaluated.

Results:

From the data collected we could see that there is an increase in the percentage of implant procedures done over years and hence we could say that people’s awareness over the implantology is increasing.

Conclusion: awareness over implants are increasing day by day, and people prefer implants rather than FPD and RPD.
